This role represents quite a rare opportunity for an experienced Investment Banker with M&A experience to transfer these skills into the M&A / Business Development group at one of the world’s top media and entertainment companies. There are also the benefits of a media company working environment / culture as well as the international opportunities the company can offer. Our clients are a Global Media Group who are seeking to appoint a Manager-level candidate for their London-based, International Business Development team. Key responsibilities Research (including strategic and valuation analysis) across the international marketplace to identify appropriate potential corporate acquisition / partnership opportunities Execution, if approved by senior management, of identified transactions Strategy development for new business initiatives Experience / Skills Solid financial modelling, and company/asset valuation, skills Ability to perform thorough research independently Ability to think strategically about the changing global TV/Film media landscape Comfortable dealing with senior management and international contacts Ability to work with confidential and sensitive information in a discrete manner Preference for individuals with M&A transaction experience Language skills especially Asian or European are desirable Prior working knowledge of the media industry is desirable but not essential Strong IT skills and presentation skills, inc MS Powerpoint The basic starting salary is negotiable depending on experience, although is likely to be £45-55,000, plus benefits
